On our last full day in Dublin, we decided to revisit places we’d been as well as see some that we’d missed. One of the places we had yet to visit was the Hard Rock Cafe. It is less than a 3 minute walk to the Hard Rock from the Westin, and shortly after finishing breakfast at the hotel, we headed out towards Temple Bar and over to the Cafe which is located on the corner of Fleet Street and Aston Place. It was still mid morning when we arrived, they were not yet serving, but it was open for people to come in, shop and take a look at the collectibles.
Upon entering the establishment, the first thing you see is a Trabant suspended from the ceiling, one that was used on U2’s Zoo Tv tour. (For those paying attention, this is the second trabbie we encountered while visiting Dublin – can you remember where the first one was?) Zoo Tv is my favourite U2 tour, I knew we were about to see some amazing memorabilia.
