Our Christmas celebration was very understated this year, just the four of us at home. As usual, there was plenty of good food and drink, and lots of great music on vinyl as well as cd.
A few days before Christmas, I successfully won an eBay auction for four classic Christmas albums, including ones by Johnny Mathis, Perry Como, Bing Crosby & Andy Williams. I didn’t keep track, but I believe that the Johnny Mathis album was spun more than any other during the holiday season (though Michael Bublé and A Very Special Christmas were played incessantly as well).
Christmas dinner consisted of homemade lasagna, a tradition in our home. On Christmas Day, we enjoyed a standing rib roast with yorkshire pudding. Of course, cookies were a plenty.
