Dawn and Kevin

About this site

SEPTEMBER 11 UPDATE:  I’ve decided to continue blogging about our musical adventures.  At this point, it makes more sense to revert to the default display of posts of most recent first.  This will put the Euro trip narrative in reverse, but it'[s time to move on.

I’m also renaming the blog from ‘Euro Getaway’ to simply ‘Dawn & Kevin’.  It’s no longer just about our trek to see Pearl Jam by way of the Emerald Isle.  I expect to update it whenever we see a live show, but it’s also possible that I’ll post about other things as well.  Thanks for sticking with us and enjoy!

AUGUST 8 UPDATE: There may still be a few typos, but this travel blog is finally finished!

I’ve updated the site so that posts now appear in chronological order on the home page, the oldest displays first and the most recent last.  This format seems to work best with the narrative style of this blog. You can also access posts by month using the archives pull down menu on the left of each page.

So, yeah, we’re back from our trip now and I’m finally putting the content together.  My hope was to live blog, or at least blog happenings shortly after we experienced them, but at the last minute I decided not to bring my MacBook (didn’t want to cart it around with me everywhere) and typing on an iPad is less than efficient.  Today is July 18, and I’ve only made it through day 4 of our 16 day holiday.  It’s going to take a while since we took well over 3,000 photos.

Even though I’m putting this together after the fact, I’ve chosen to date each post as the day we visited each place as an additional way for me to remember when we did everything.

If you’d like to keep up to date with new posts and/or comments, feel free to subscribe via email or via one of the rss feeds. Otherwise, keep checking back for updates!

This is a work in progress.  It will get done.  Eventually.
