Our first hop off stop of the Dublin bus tour was The Guinness Storehouse. Yes, it was still fairly early in the morning, but we were ready to learn how Guinness is made. Fortunately, as we were one of the first groups to arrive, there was no wait to get in. It’s a self guided tour at your own speed and is really done well. We meandered through the exhibits enjoying it all and then got in line to learn how to properly pour a pint of Guinness. A group of about 10 people are brought in and are taught how to work the tap, how to aim the beer at the harp on the tilted glass and fill it til it reaches the Guinness logo, then, let it settle for 2 minutes before topping it off. This was a fun and educational class, and we got to drink the beer afterwards!
